These instructions will show you (or your shop) how to convert a Base CTS (single exhaust) to use a CTS-V (dual exhaust)

  • This procedure is pictured on a 03 "single" exhaust CTS. The procedure should be identical for a 04/05 CTS.
  • Cut a Hole in the right side of the bumper for the right side of the dual exhaust

  • Cut the old stock exhaust pipes at the resonator

  • Cut the new CTS-V exhaust pipes at the resonator

  • Weld the old stock pipes to the new CTS-V resonator

  • Bracket with 2 rubber insulators- assemble on the right side of the car. (bracket and hangers have to be heated up to lower the new tips so they can fit into the correct space

When they installed the end bracket part #25755350, they had to cut-off a little piece of metal under the car first so that the bracket could fit in place properly.

  • Weld an extra hanger/ holder bracket on the right side (so its just like the left side). The shop that did this fabricated a part that would be used for this purpose

  • Finished product (CTS-V dual exhaust on a 03 CTS)

  • Thanks kali_cts03
