What are the changes on the 2006 V?

Based on current information, the 2006 v will have the following different from the 2004/2005 CTS-V
  • Ls2 Engine
  • NO automatic transmission- it simply will not fit in the chassis
  • “Improved” rear suspension to “reduce” wheel hop (equivalent to 2004/2005 TSB fix)
  • Goodyear RS-All season Tires stock (F1 tires optional)
  • Different design strut tower brace
  • Sunroof is standard
  • Steering wheel radio controls (same location as 04/05 cruise control)
  • XM nav traffic standard
  • 2 year nav DVD subscription
  • Taller Strut tower brace
  • Cosmetic differences:

    -Wheel center caps: colored Caddy Crest on black lacquer background
    -A small "GM" badge located on both fenders between the trailing edge of the wheel opening and the fender-to-door gap
  • Red color is now called InfraRed 2006 Pictures:



    NOTE that the above is a picture of a LS6 engine with the decorative carbon Fiber cover, not a LS2 engine which is what the 2006 CTS-V has.
